Officials said it took 90 minutes to restore power to 1,200 customers in south Lincoln overnight.

According to officials, it was almost 1:00 on the dot Saturday morning, when power failed in south Lincoln.

Lincoln Electric System Spokesperson Kelly Porter said the outage affected 1,200 customers between Van Dorn and Hwy. 2 and between S. 14th and S. 33rd Streets.

The problem was caused by an underground cable fault and all service was restored to customers by 2:30 a.m.
