Lincoln, Neb.-- Three men decided to leave a stink bomb in a Lincoln Railyard restaurant.
Friday evening, three men were eating at Hiro 88 and as they exited, they left 'the gift' for the restaurant and nearby patrons.
Staff noticed the smell and as restaurant co-owner Charlie Yin said, they checked the usual sources where smells come from in a restaurant but found nothing. They finally found broken glass and some liquid under a table and Yin said, "Unfortunately, I touched it".
Once they found the source, they looked at video of the area and realized who had left it behind.
The source of the foul stench was cleaned up and the room aired out quickly.
The trio had not caused any disturbance while dining and none of the staff have any ideas why someone would do this.
"People who were eating nearby were offended by the odor," said Yin.
After the customers realized it was a prank and not the fault of the restaurant, they were calm and finished their meals.
Yin did not contact the police but have posted the video of the three as they are leaving on their Facebook page.
Yin said he did not want to punish them, but hopes someone will recognize them and discourage them from repeating this elsewhere.
