An 82-year-old Lincoln woman lost $250 in a Publishers Clearing House scam.

The Lancaster County Sheriff's office said she received a call from a man with a 206 area code out of Washington telling her she won $200,000 from Publishers Clearing House.

The woman was asked to send $250 on a Green Dot card.

Officers said the next call came from an 876 area code out of Jamaica.

LSO said the man told the woman she needed to send another $300 for the armored car to show up.

Officer Terry Wagner reminds people it is illegal to charge money to win a prize.
