Railyard Businesses Host Pilger Fundraiser

LINCOLN, Neb.-- Businesses in the Railyard, and even restaurants on Canopy and R Street, are joining forces to raise money for Pilger Fire and rescue.

Buffalo Wings and Rings Co-Owner, Kevin Wolf, says it was his idea to bring all Railyard businesses together for the one-day fundraiser.

Wolf says 10 percent of the proceeds from the event will go directly toward Pilger Fire and Rescue.

In July, the Pilger Community Development Fund confirmed $400,000 were raised to help the village rebuild.

Blake Rotherham, Chair for the Development Fund says there isn't an updated total of donations, but they should have a better idea when they have a meeting on Wednesday.

Rotherham says the committee is still going through the $1,500 emergency fund applications.
