Retail Businesses Hiring Help for Holidays Now

Economists are predicting a better holiday season this year compared to last season. At least that's the case nationally.

Kohl's is hiring over 52,000 holiday workers. Locally it seems the trend continues. That's the case here at SouthPointe Pavilion.

"Those stores like Sheels, Von Maur, Pier One and even the theaters need a lot of extra help too. I would say, based on our monthly trends at SouthPointe, we are having a very healthy season on all levels of the stores. I know that the majority of our stores have a healthy start this season and are looking forward to a very productive and fun season, " said Julie Lattimer, SouthPointe Pavilion Marketing Director.

On a smaller scale, Lincoln's locally owned Hallow Candles is expecting a bigger holiday season as well.

"This holiday season we are looking at bringing on another person and most of our employees are part time and we will be increasing their hours as well. Over the past few years we have seen an increase every holiday season," said Sarah Mullins, Owner.
