Update: Police Arrest Suspect in Sunday Morning Robbery

Police release the name of a man they said held-up a Kwik Shop convenience store Sunday morning.

LPD said 33-year-old Louis Vera went into the Kwik Shop at 27th and W Street at 11:15 a.m. Sunday.

Officers then spotted Vera at 28th and Pear streets and tracked him down at 29th and Vine Street. During the arrest, officers tased Vera and then were able to arrest him.

Lincoln Police did recover a gun and money on the scene of the arrest.

LPD said Vera was arrested on charges of robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony, use of a stolen firearm, felon in possession of a firearm and resisting arrest.
