Update: Man Dies Days After Rollover Accident

LINCOLN, Neb.-- Lancaster County Sheriff Deputies say a man died Wednesday from injuries following a rollover accident on Saltillo Road east of South 70th Street Sunday afternoon.

The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Deputies say the driver, 65-year-old Steven Hyatt of Palmyra, was heading west near 71st and Saltillo when he somehow lost control of his Jeep Wrangler and ran over several fences before driving off the road. Officials say his vehicle entered the ditch, struck a tree and rolled.

Hyatt was ejected from the vehicle, which landed on top of him. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

LSO said Hyatt was not wearing a seat belt and they do not suspect alcohol as a factor in the crash.
