UPDATE: Rooster Stolen from Lee's Restaurant Found Vandalized

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lincoln Police say a statue stolen from Lee's Restaurant has been returned, but is badly damaged. Police are now searching for the vandalism suspect.

'Pioneer Pete' as it is known, was stolen sometime between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. Saturday from the restaurant at S. Coddington Ave. and W Van Dorn St.

The mascot was 5 feet tall, weighed around 200 pounds and was valued at more than $500. On Tuesday the statue was discovered behind the restaurant in several pieces.
