Runners and walkers made their way to Cody Park in North Platte to ring in the new year.
The Midnight Magic Run kicked off just after 2014 officially arrived.
Proceeds from the run go to support affordable housing through the Lincoln County Community Development Corporation, giving the organization a little bit more money.
"We can help some people that normally our programs wouldn't be able to," said Nancy Striebel, director of LCCDC.
The late-night run also provided people with a safe, healthy option for the holiday.
"It's a great alternative for people that don't want to sit around and eat all the munchies, drink all the alcohol, or any of the pop," said runner Jan Wright. "Come out here and get some exercise."
This was the second straight year that the Midnight Magic Run benefited affordable housing in Lincoln County.
