Salvation Army and 10/11 Team Up For School Drive

10/11 News is hosting a back to school drive with the Salvation Army.
Come by and donate school supplies from 10-7 Wednesday.

Volunteers will be out all day, all we need is you.
Simply bring by some school supplies to our station at the corner of 40th and Vine, you can drive right up and donate.
The Salvation Army needs all the basics. From backpacks to pencils, notebooks and folders. If you used it when you were in school, chances are they need it here.

The following items are recommended:
Backpacks No. 2 pencils Colored Pencils Pencil Sharpener
Erasers Ballpoint Pens Highlighters Notebooks
Loose Paper Rulers 3-Ring Binders Folders
Scissors Calculators Index Cards Zipper Notebooks

The Salvation Army will once again hand out school backpacks and supplies to those in our community that need a little extra help getting ready for the start of the school year. They want each student to begin the school year with everything they need to have a successful year. The program is open to all students in grades K-12 on Tuesday August 7 from 4:00-7:00pm at The Salvation Army Community Center, 1645 N. 27th Street.
