Semi Carrying Railcar Wedged Under Bridge

Traffic was slow-moving on Cornhusker Highway Thursday morning while crews worked to get a semi unstuck from a bridge.

Lincoln police said a semi carrying a train car was too tall to fit and lodged itself under the bridge at the 14th street overpass.

It happened around 10:30 Thursday morning. It took more than two hours to remove the semi from under the bridge.

Ironically, the train car was already damaged and headed to the rail yard north of the city.

No injuries were reported.
