The Seward County Sheriff's Office said one person died after a crash on Interstate 80 Sunday night.

It happened just before 7:30pm at mile marker 366, which is the exit to Utica near Beaver Crossing.

Deputies say a GMC pickup was traveling east on I-80 when it hit a patch of black ice. They say the pickup swerved and hit an Hyundai, which was along side the pick up.

Deputies say the pickup did a 180 degree spin and slid off the road. The pickup struck a sign and traveled down a deep ditch before rolling and coming to a rest.

Four men were able to get out of the truck, but one was trapped and unconscious.

Deputies say 24-year-old Anthony Morales of Denver, Colorado was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a passenger in the pickup.

The Seward County Sheriff's Office says seat belts were not used in the accident.
