Short Chase in South Lincoln Lands Driver in Jail

A brief chase changed a misdemeanor charge to multiple felony charges for one driver.
According to Lincoln Police Captain Michon Morrow, the chase began just before 2 a.m. Wednesday. An officer tried to stop a black Lexus at 30th and Kipling after seeing it driving erratically.
The driver took off, even turning off his lights.
Morrow said the driver struck a light pole, knocking it to the ground as he turned the corner.
The chase ended in the 3100 block of Shelley Street, just 5 blocks or so from where it started.
31-year-old Andrew Adcock was arrested for DUI. Adcock was lodged in jail on felonies of hit and run and fleeing to avoid arrest.
