Fight Leads to Shots Fired in Lincoln, Four Arrested

Police say a verbal fight at the U-stop at 21st and K streets led to a chase in Southwest Lincoln.

It happened around 10:30 p.m.

The driver of a Cadillac called police to say someone was chasing and shooting at him.

Officers soon found the suspects in a gray Pontiac.

Police say they chased the group until the car hit a stop sign and the suspects took off on foot.

They were all arrested a short time later.

Police arrested 24-year-old Nicole Alvarado, 19-year-olds Donte Shields and Chelon Garcia and the driver, 21-year-old Kyle Daniels.

All are facing multiple felony charges, including possession of a stolen firearm and fail to comply.

Police also recovered rifle, stolen from a home on Harding Drive December 9, 2012.

Police say someone ransacked the home, stealing guns, while the family slept in their beds.

Police are investigating if Alvarado, Shields, Garcia and Daniels are responsible for the burglary.
