Slick roads lead to more than 60 accidents during the morning commute on Thursday. Thirteen of those are injury accidents.
"On a normal day we respond to 25 accidents, on Thursday morning we went to 68 accidents in Lincoln between 7:52 a.m and 10:52 a.m.," said Lincoln Police Public Information Officer Katie Flood.
A light snow caused the roads to be very slippery.
Lincoln police officers and Fire & Rescue crews were called to accidents all over Lincoln.
"We have responded to an unusually high amount of accidents," Said Deb Collins, Nebraska State Patrol Public Information officer.
