The residents have to relocate after a fire on their balcony sent smoke into their apartment.

Just after 10:00 p.m. Sunday, Lincoln Fire Crews were called to the 2800 block of Tierra Drive for a fire on an apartment balcony.

The first arriving engine was able to get the fire out quickly. Crews spent about an hour checking the building for any fire extension into the building and found nothing.

Officials said there was smoke damage into the apartment and that will cause the residents of the unit to relocate.

Fire Inspectors are working to determine the cause of the fire.

There were no injuries..
