The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office will participate in a grant funded traffic selective in an effort to reduce the number of impaired drivers as well as other alcohol related law violations.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office will increase the number of deputies patrolling in the Waverly area, in marked patrol cars, on Thursday, July 3, 2014. The additional deputies will concentrate their efforts of the detection of impaired driving violations and other alcohol related law violations from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m.
Overtime compensation for the additional deputies working during the traffic selective will be paid through a mini-graint funded by the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.
