Kids may not know what new year's eve really is, but at least they can act like they know.

It's the Lincoln Children's Museum, "Make Believe Midnight,"- it starts 6:30 P.M. New Year's Eve.

"We do a lot of extra things, like bubble wrap the stomp activity, bracelets, hats and noise makers," Children's Museum Executive Director Darren Macfee said.

After you put the kiddies to bed, or hand them over to a sitter - take it to the streets, head to the Pershing Center, where you'll want to do everything but sit.

Iconic bands Wheeztones and Soul Dawg will ring and rock you into the New Year.

"We don't know how many more new year eve's we'll be at the Pershing Center, but we're planning a good, big one, this year," Pershing Center Marketing Director Derek Andersen said.

You want tickets to see traditional band Groove Puppet ? Well put your eye on Embassy Suites in Lincoln. There is just a handful of those tickets left.

More than 30,000 people are expected at the TD Ameritrade Fireworks Show. It's the largest New Year's Eve Fireworks display in the region. With choreographed lights and music, the New Year will be brought in with a big bang.
