Updated: Thu 1:57 PM, Apr 19, 2012

Pioneer's Park in Lincoln could soon be the hub of entertainment this summer and it could spawn from a blockbuster announcement.

Nature's Market At the Nature's Center:

The 4th Annual Nature's Market may not be the Haymarket - but comes pretty close.

"We have food booths, we have candy, food, rugs," Nature's Center Director Nancy Furman said.
.
The bottom line, it's for the kids.

"The sponsorships help out kids out here participate in our camps and programs," Furman said.

Rain or shine, you can say "hey market" to the Nature's Market. It's this Saturday, April 21 from 9 AM to 2 PM at the Nature's Center in Pioneer's Park.

Pioneer's Park - is pretty popular this Summer.

Huge Concert At the Park:

"It's pretty huge, it's been a long time coming," Mammoth Productions Promoter Jeff Fortier said.

Pioneer's of Blues and Rock music - will rock the mics this August. It's the Pinewood Bowl Theatre Concert. And yes, there will be alcohol.

"Everything has come together. Pinewood bowl is fenced and contained so we can handle the sales, " Pershing Center General Manager Tom Lorenz said.

The Pershing Center and Mammoth Productions of Kansas City, MO teamed up to make the move happen - which will feature BB King and Crosby, Stills and Nash.

"The agents who put their tours together and work with those acts, they know the area and know Lincoln, Nebraska and it wasn't difficult to get them to play along with us," Lorenz said.

And promoters still have more surprises in store, another major announcement - next Monday.
