State Patrol Called In To Investigate Suspicious Package

Fremont, NE - Items that were assembled to look like a bomb will be investigated by the Nebraska State Patrol LAB.

A suspicious package was discovered on Monday night, at 10:30 p.m., in the street on the 1100 block of Jones Drive in Fremont.

Inside the box were items dressed up to look like a bomb.

The Nebraska State Patrol was called in to help.

People living nearby were asked to go to their basements for safety during the robots maneuvers.

The patrol used a robot to determine that it was not a bomb. The items were then taken into evidence.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information may call crime stoppers at 402-727-4002.
