A good Samaritan turns out to be bad news for a stranded driver.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office say the man was changing a flat tire near Highway 77 and Pella Road at about 8:45 Saturday night.
They say another man stopped to help him.
Once the damaged tire was off and placed into the trunk of the victims car things took a turn for the worse.
"The man who had stopped to help had the tire iron in his hand and he brandished it as a weapon and demanded the victim's wallet. The victim said he didn't have any money. The perpetrator swung the tire iron at him. The the victim ran southbound from the scene," Sheriff Terry Wagner said.
The suspect got away with the victim's laptop and spare tire.
He is described as a white man, 50 to 60 years of age, 5'8", 200 pounds, with short gray hair and a mustache.
He was driving a 1980's black Honda style car.
