Streets Reopen After Gas Line Break In Downtown Lincoln

Streets are now open in downtown Lincoln after a broken gas line.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue said a construction company working on the P Street Construction Project hit a gas line that was marked incorrectly while they were digging.

Businesses were evacuated and streets from 13th to 11th and O to Q were closed.

Through gas monitors, they determined local businesses were not affected by the break.

Black Hills Energy came a short time later and was able to put a stop to the leak.
