LINCOLN, Neb.-- The fair that only comes once a year will be here before you know it, but before the fun and games can begin, there's a lot of work and preparation that goes into make the SuperFair super fun.
"We're expecting 200,000 visitors over the ten days of the fair," says new SuperFair Director, Amy Dickerson.
And big crowds mean adding even bigger sights and sounds to the popular attraction zone, including the Wolves of the World, among others.
"One is called Cow Town, USA, where kids can actually try milking cows," said Dickerson. "Another one is called Pets on Wheels, where kids can actually take a ride on electronic pets."
And the fun doesn't end there. 4-H and FFA competitors will make their way in Tuesday to get ready for the big show.
"We're going to have more than 24 species of animals through the first 5 days, everything from rabbits and llamas, to horses and different kids of cattle," said Dickerson.
But in between fair food and fun, commercial vendors will be there to everything from anti-aging cream to roasted nuts.
Virgil Nabity, a vendor from Lincoln, has been working fairs for the last 20 years and started setting up early Tuesday to beat the crowds.
"I'm fortunate to have the spot it's right in the front, I've been here five years in a row already," said Nabity.
Even though he's there for fun, Nabity says there's always room to scope out the competition and enjoy the fair like everyone else.
"We'll have a chance to walk around and see what kind of products are new," Nabity said.
