Suspect Arrested in Early Evening Stabbing

A suspect has been arrested in a stabbing incident in northeast Lincoln.

Emergency crews were called to a residence near 51st and Adams Streets for the stabbing about 6:30 p.m. Friday.

According to Lincoln Police, two men had been arguing when one of them, 28-year-old Steven Caldwell pulled and allegedly stabbed the victim in the abdomen.

LPD reports the victim was transported to Bryan West to be treated for his injuries.

Caldwell was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail for Second Degree Assault and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony.

Police have not indicated what caused the argument.
