Threats over Tax Returns - Laura Berry Reports
H & R Block says a processing error on the IRS's end is getting them angry calls. Kelley Scharf says she receives at least half a dozen "threats" each day and she gets even more calls on days when refund checks are due.
Scharf said "We always give an estimated date based on the information we have from the IRS.But once the IRS has a hold of the return, we have no control over it. So if they're having delays or if they want to review the return a little bit more, it could always take longer."
Scharf says she's trying to help out, by printing letters for clients that show the IRS owes them some money. There are also payday loan pamphlets on hand for those who needed their money a long time ago..
