An 18-year-old Lincoln man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to shooting and killing 19-year old Naïf Al-Kazahy on July 29th.
He’s charged with 2nd degree murder (20-life), use of a firearm to commit a felony (5-50 years), and being in possession of a short shotgun (5 years and up to $10,000 fine.)
The teen's lawyer, Chris Eickholt, filed a motion to have him tried in juvenile court.
Lincoln Police say a single shot was fired outside a home near 13th & Sumner Streets. Al-Kazahy was shot in the chest and later died.
10/11 has chosen not to include the minor's name.
