"I just hate people who steal. I've seen enough of that. I just wanted to make sure this one didn't get away." -Store Manager Mario Ostiguin

Police catch up with two teens who tired to rob a store but quickly had the tables turned on them when the clerk pulled out a taser.

Police arrested 18-year-olds Anthony Olderbak and Cameron Beattie for an attempted robbery that happened at Wicked Smoke on October 13th.

A Crimestoppers tip led police to Olderbak and Beattie.

Lincoln Police Captain Jason Stille says just after 12:30 a.m. that Saturday, two men entered the Wicked Smoke Shop at 1603 West O Street and demanded money.

One suspect grabbed the store manager, Mario Ostiguin who told 10/11 News, "I was in shock for the most of the time because I thought it was a joke. I just thought it was one of our regulars playing a joke on us." But it was not a joke.

"He started asking me: Where's your stuff? Where's your stuff? I didn't say anything. I remained calm."

Stille says rather than hand over the cash, a clerk handed Ostiguin a taser and both men headed for the door. One suspect is seen pushing past the other to get out quickly.

Ostiguin tazed one suspect as he was leaving. Both men ran off empty handed.

"I just hate people who steal. I've seen enough of that. I just wanted to make sure this one didn't get away."

A few hours later that night, someone smashed the shop's glass front door and stole less than $200 worth of cigarettes.

Police found several packages of cigarettes in Olderbak's home. They say Beattie had two marks on his back consistent with a taser.
