LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lined up to try one of over 100 different domestic and imported beers, people had their pick from dozens of breweries, all trying to promote new flavors of their ales and lagers.
"When I got into it 20 years ago, 90 percent of these styles didn't exist or people wouldn't of tried them," said Rich Chapin Owner of Emyrean Brewery.
"Open my eyes to new kinds of beer and this is a great chance to do that, a lot of beers that I didn't know about, a lot of breweries that I didn't know about," said Lincoln Resident Zach Myers.
For Empyrean Brewery out of Lincoln, they only had to travel two blocks to the Pinnacle Bank Arena to reach over 2,000 new potential customers.
"For as long as we've been here, a lot of people haven't tried everything that we've offered. It's great exposure," said Chapin.
While businesses hope these new flavors bring in new customers to their breweries, patrons getting their fill of new brews hope that this is the beginning of a new tradition.
"It's really exciting, I'm hoping that they do it again next year," said Myers.
