Lincoln Police arrested three men they believe robbed a woman at her apartment complex and stole her car.

Just after 11:00 p.m. Monday a 32-year-old woman had just parked her car in The Black Sand Apartment complex in the 3200 block of Folksways Blvd.

Captain Michon Morrow said three men approached her and demanded money, keys and her cell phone. One of the suspects hit the woman in the face with what she described as a semi automatic hand gun.

Morrow said the men took off with her car which was spotted about 30 minutes later by police.

The officer tried to pull the car over near near 48th and Hillside. Morrow said the suspects pulled into an alley on 51st Street and fled on foot.

Two K-9 units were called in, but the search was unsuccessful.

Later, a 17-year-old called his family in Omaha and confessed to running from Lincoln Police. His family called LPD and the boy, along with two 15-year-olds were lodged in youth detention for robbery. Police say the gun used was a BB gun.
