Lincoln Sets Record for Snow-Free Streak

On Thursday, Lincoln recorded 297 days without snow, making it the longest streak without snowfall in the city's history with Lincoln's most recent snowfall occurring back in February.
Conditions were too warm to turn raindrops into snowflakes on Thursday, but 1011's Weather Team says a system expected over the weekend could bring the season's first measurable snowfall.
Though it's late in the year for significant snow, Lincoln still hasn't broken its record for the latest first measurable snowfall. That was set on December 31st of 2006.
