Trial for Charlie Rogers Will Stay in Lancaster County

A Lincoln woman accused of false reporting a hate crime withdrew her request to move her trial out of Lancaster County.

In response to Charlie Rogers' withdrawal, Judge Gale Pokorny overruled the motion with prejudice, which means she can’t try to move her trial again later.

Rogers’ Lawyer Brett McArthur and Lancaster County Attorney Pat Condon have until the end of the week to submit juror questions to the judge.

The jury pool is 60 potential candidates, which is more than usual due to the higher likelihood of people knowing too much about the case due to extensive media coverage.

The trial is scheduled for January 7th.
