A full size pickup is completely submerged in a south Lincoln pond after the driver lost control.

Just before 9 a.m. Sunday night, emergency crews were called to S. 56th Street and Pine Lake Road after a vehicle was reported to have fallen into the pond at Campbell's Nursery.

Lincoln police say the pickup was traveling north when it lost control and slid off the road, hitting a tree before going through the ice.

A witness to the crash tells 10/11 News that when the truck hit the tree it broke the driver's window, which police say, was a good thing.

The truck then pushed the tree into the hole in the ice. The tree jammed the door but the driver was able to climb out through the broken window.

Police said there were no injuries.
