Two Nebraska Army National Guard units were welcomed home from missions to Afghanistan Thursday morning during a ceremony held at the Nebraska National Guard's Joint Force Headquarters.
Members of the Nebraska National Guard's Agribusiness Development Team No. 3 and the 43rd Operational Support Airlift Detachment recently completed deployments to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The members of ADT No. 3 were involved in helping Afghan agricultural officials and local farmers redevelop agricultural skills and infrastructure during their nearly yearlong deployment. The members of the 43rd OSA Det. were involved in a number of aviation-related missions during their nearly nine-month deployment.
