According to Lincoln Police, Two women assaulted and robbed the man video recording them driving recklessly.
Just after 2 a.m. Saturday, Lincoln police were called to the Wal-Mart at 4700 N. 27th Street after a report of an assault in the parking lot.
According to Captain Don Scheinost, the victim was using his iPhone to record a vehicle he thought was being driven recklessly through the parking lot.
Scheinost said the car pulled up next to the man with the iPhone and a woman got out of the car and hit the man, after yelling at him for recording them. The man reportedly knocked the woman to the ground while trying to defend himself.
According to Scheinost, a second woman then got out of the car and repeatedly hit the victim.
The women took his cell phone before driving off.
A witness to the confrontation called police to report the assault and was able to get a license plate from the vehicle.
The victim refused medical attention.
Scheinost said officers viewed store surveillance video for the incident. Those officers contacted the registered owner of the car and arrested 31-year-old Aariqa Allen for robbery.
Officers later contacted the passenger, 23-year-old Marie Abram and arrested her for robbery.
Police were able to recover the phone.
