U.N.L.'s Nimbus lab looks a little bit like a playground, but it's serious business for those looking to advance drone technology.

"We are in the cusp of a revolution of these. They're getting smaller, they're getting faster and they're getting safer," said Sebastian Elbaum of U.N.L.'s Computer Science and Engineering Department.

Elbaum added "Eventually you can think of this as being an everyday appliance for a lot of people. We think the first step in that direction is to enable scientists and commercial entities to use them."
