Many parents in Lincoln know Jim Unger. He's the guy who makes learning gymnastics fun. He was also the very first NCAA All-American gymnast for Nebraska.

Unfortunately, over the weekend, Jim was in a terrible bicycle accident on South 56th Street near London Road, between Pine Lake and Old Cheney.

Jim hit some patches of the rough road and flew into a tree, suffering a severe spinal cord injury. He is currently paralyzed from the chest down.

Jim's wife Shannon Unger and their daughter Jamie talk about how Jim is doing, and how you can help the family with rehab costs by donating at Union Bank.

You can follow Jim's recovery at caringbridge.org/visit/jimunger.

And for the families who take their children to Jim Unger's Gymnastic School, there will be classes this fall.
