Shaun McCabe was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at the age of three. The disorder is life threatening and causes severe damage to the lungs and digestive system.
Shaun is currently on the list for a double lung and liver transplant. The estimated cost for his medical expenses is $30,000. In order to help get that much, Shaun started a page on the Children's Organ Transplant Association website.
So far he has raised $13,600. His goal is $30,000.
McCabe says his friends and family posting about his situation on social media is what really allowed him to reach people he never thought he would.
"I saw a half page of comments that were just people from the Nashville, Tennessee area that were donating that were all just friends of my cousins and complete strangers to me," McCabe said.
