Wayne, Neb. The Wayne tornado relief effort in is going strong as the community comes together, however they do need help.
A call center was put together to help those affected by the devastating tornado that ripped through the town of Wayne. Volunteers say there's a lot of debris in the cornfields and they need that picked up before harvest begins in that area.
"We realized with this event we needed to coordinate all the volunteers so we set up this hotline for people who want to call in to volunteer to help and for people to call in to say they need help," said City Council President and Volunteer Leader Jill Brodersen.
Some items Brodersen says they need are building materials, wire cutters, gloves and food because the city is expecting large crowds of people coming this weekend.
If you'd like to call the hotline the number is 402-833-1800.
