The Central City community voted 'yes' Tuesday to remove school board member Kent Malm.

The unofficial results are in and 666 people voted yes to remove Malm and 372 voted no.

The official results won't be available until noon on Thursday.

The issues with the school board began in April with the firing of football coach Darin Garfield. Time for Change, Time to Move Forward, a group pushing for the recall said it will not try to get Garfield reinstated. That was not the big problem in Central City.

They also said the resignation of Superintendent Candace Conradt confirmed the community's voice that things need to change.

Movements to recall board members Dale Palser and Steve Belitz were deemed invalid in August.

Calls to Kent Malm have still not been returned.
