Downtown Lincoln will be a hub of excitement this weekend, from the Mayor's Run For Kids Saturday morning to Lincoln Marathon on Sunday.
That means traffic and parking will be a headache. Here are some of the major street closures and parking alerts.

The Farmer's Market opens at 8 a.m. and runs until Noon. Streets will stay closed a little longer will be some time for take down when those roads will stay closed.
At the same time as the Farmer's Market, 8 a.m. to Noon, the Mayor's Run For Kids will be shutting down some roads around the State Capitol. It will be shutting down 14th and 16th between H and K streets, as well as Goodhue Boulevard from F to H.
On Sunday, the Lincoln Marathon and Half Marathon starts at 7 a.m. with runners starting near 14th and Vine Streets. There will be lane closures and complete road closures you'll need to pay attention to, such as Holdrege, South, Salt Creek, Normal and Capital Parkway, just to name a few.
As for completely closed roads, 14th Street will be closed from H to K, Salt Creek from Vine to W. 16th street will be closed from K to South and from K to Vine. Vine will be closed from 14th to 16th.

Be sure to be careful as you're driving around. Runners will be along that course.
You will also want to keep an eye out for Beerfest Saturday night at the Pinnacle Bank Arena. As with any event downtown, parking will probably be tight so you'll want to head out early. Remember, the city is running a shuttle so you don't have to park in the Haymarket.
