On this week’s episode of Star City Buzz, it’s a building that took 10 years to build at a cost of almost 10 million dollars. Nebraska’s State Capitol building has been around since 1932. We take you on Part 1 of our inside look at the State Capitol with a tour of the building. Watch the video for a history lesson about one of the state’s greatest treasures.

The Angels Theatre Company presents a stage version of the literary classic and famous film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. The production is directed by Mary Douglass who brings to life the story of a psychiatric ward reigned by Nurse Ratched. Ratched expects her rules to be followed by the patients. Then, one challenges her authority and mayhem ensues. You can see that play at The Haymarket Theatre at 803 Q Street in Lincoln, Neb. It’s Comfort Food Month on Star City Buzz and for our first stop, we head to Annie’s Sunshine Café located at 2901 NW 48th Street. Owners Elizabeth and Ken Harris serve fresh foods and desserts, including Philly Cheesesteaks and hand cut fries. Annie’s is open from 11AM to 7PM Tuesday and Wednesday, 11AM to 8PM Thursday and Friday, and 8:30AM to 2:30PM on Saturdays. They are closed Sunday and Monday. The newest Quentin Tarantino movie is creating a lot of buzz at the Box Office. Django Unchained stars Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson. The movie centers around a slave turned bounty hunter who tries to save his wife from slavery at a Southern plantation. Watch the video to see what Schmoes Know thinks about the film. This week we go Behind the Mic with State Senator Amanda McGill. In her final year as a State Senator for Nebraska, McGill sat down with Star City Buzz to tell us about her personal life. Watch the video to see what movie genre she favors and much more.
