On this week’s episode of Star City Buzz, we take you on our final installment of the State Capitol tour. This week we look at the various works of art displayed throughout the building. Watch the video to see what artists are featured in this historic venue.

The 3rd Annual Chocolate Lovers Extravaganza is in Beatrice Saturday, February 2nd. The day includes tons of chocolaty fun including: games, massages, and recipes. Lincoln’s non-profit fair trade store Ten Thousand Villages always has something new and exciting to see. The products it sells are hand-made by people from around the world. It’s a mission that lets skilled artisans use their talent to earn a living and get paid a fair price. The store is located at 801 P Street in Lincoln. It’s open Monday through Wednesday from 10AM to 6PM, Thursday through Saturday from 10AM to 9PM, and closed on Sunday. It’s Comfort Food Month on Star City Buzz and for our final stop, we take a trip to Duke’s Café and Wine Bar located at 418 Court Street in Beatrice. Duke’s has 42 wines by the glass, 14 beers, mixed drinks, exotic coffees, homemade desserts, and daily lunch and dinner specials. The Schmoes review the thriller twist to popular children’s tale Hansel and Gretel. The movie stars Jeremy Renner as well as other notable stars. It tells the story of Hansel and Gretel’s original mishap with a witch, but then follows them to adulthood where they become witch hunters. Watch the video to see what the Schmoes think of the movie. This week we go Behind the Mic with Lincoln native Amanda Valentine. Amanda is on the current season of Lifetime’s Project Runway. The designer fell in love with fashion and has tried out for the show before. The producers kept an eye on her and she's now on the show's newest season. Go back in time this weekend to learn about Dinosaurs and Disasters. This yearly event will be held from 9:30AM to 4:30PM on Saturday, February 2 at Morrill Hall, just south of 14th and Vine Streets in Lincoln. Finally, Brian Vranicar is a young solo artist who plays his original music around the Lincoln area. His influences include: John Mayor, Michael Buble, and Coldplay. Vranicar enjoys his solo gigs, but has recently started a band. They're dubbed the Brian Vranicar Trio. Buzz Reporter Katie Farritor spoke with the group about their music.
