What the Wind Taught Me is an original play about a small Midwestern town that gets hit by a tornado. Everything changes for the children living there. The Lincoln Women’s Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 2nd Annual Spring Fashion Show to raise money for their scholarship at Southeast Community College. It’s Saturday, March 9th at 11AM at Christ United Methodist Church located at 4530 A Street in Lincoln. Watch the video to learn more about the show.
A new exhibit at the Nebraska State Historical Society tracks the life and career of a man who is arguably Nebraska’s most famous artist, John Falter. The exhibit shows his early works to his fame as a newspaper cover artist. The museum is located at 1500 R Street in Lincoln. The hours are Monday through Friday from 9AM to 4:30PM and Saturday and Sunday from 1PM to 4:30PM. The exhibit runs through August 9, 2013. It’s March and that’s means it’s our Mexican & Margaritas Month. For our first stop, we take a trip to El Toro. El Toro’s the sister restaurant to Mazatlan, Mazatlan II, and Las Margaritas.
