The Lincoln 911 center is keeping a close watch on their phone system after they had a glitch.
Captain Jason Stille said late Friday night, an operator noticed problems with incoming calls when one line was ringing continuously. A 911 operator tried using a cell phone to call 911 but it failed.
Non-emergency lines did not seem to be affected.
Windstream sent crews to try determine what caused the problem.
Officials said anyone with an emergency should call police at 402-441-6000 if 911 doesn't work.
