LINCOLN, Neb.-- A Lincoln woman is cited with misdemeanor child abuse after police discover her 8-month-old daughter living in unsanitary conditions.

Police say 28-year-old Elizabeth Roberts was arrested Tuesday after officers searched her apartment on suspicion of drug use.

According to reports, officers found drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine residue. Roberts has also been charged with possession of a controlled substance.

They say they found Roberts' 8-month-old daughter lying on a blanket covered in vomit. Her feet were allegedly covered in roach eggs.
