Woman Charged With Vulnerable Adult Abuse

WAVERLY, Neb. A Lincoln woman is charged with three counts vulnerable adult abuse after LSO said another employee reported she was excessively physical with residents at the Waverly Care Center.

Barbara Fallon, a certified nurse's assistant, was cited and released on the felony charges. On May 10, LSO said another employee saw Fallon slap an 89-year-old woman and a 79-year-old woman with dementia . They said an employee reported the abuse to the Care Center, who told LSO. LSO said during the investigation another 73-year-old woman told LSO she was also abused by Fallon.

Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner said cases like this are difficult to investigate, as older individual bruise more easily so the origin of injuries can be hard to prove.

He said there had been no previous reports of abuse by Fallon.

Fallon was not held in jail due to health issues.
