Lincoln police say a woman scared away a potential burglar Sunday morning.
Officer Katie Flood said a woman was home alone in the area of 56th and Normal when she heard a knock on the door. She looked out and didn't recognize the man so she didn't answer. Police say the man went to the back door and knocked, but again the woman stayed quiet.
Flood said the man left, but then came back knocking on both the front and back door again before breaking the glass sliding door. The woman confronted him and he took off after seeing her.
Nothing was taken and the woman wasn't hurt. Police believe the man may have thought no one was home based on his knocking.
