An early morning crash with a bread truck sends one woman to the hospital.

Just after 3:00 Saturday morning, police and fire crews were called to the 5200 block of Cornhusker Hwy for an accident.

Officers at the scene said it appeared the driver of a Jeep did not stop at a sign when exiting the Oasis Hotel.

The driver of the bread truck said he saw the Jeep and was surprised when it pulled in front of him. He said he slammed on his brakes but could not avoid the crash.

The truck driver said he had just left the warehouse and loaded up for deliveries. The crash sent several bread loaves and buns flying onto the highway.

The woman in the Jeep was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Police are still investigating the crash and do not know if alcohol is factor.
