A York man sentenced to prison for the death of his daughter is appealing his conviction.
Thirty-two year old Ryan Kozisek filed an appeal Tuesday. He was sentenced to 35-50 years in prison on Dec. 16 for child abuse resulting in the death of his 4-month-old daughter, Kayley.
In January 2011, Kozisek claimed Kayley had stopped breathing after her 2-year-old sister fell on her. An autopsy showed multiple injuries that resulted in severe hemorrhaging and brain damage.
The injuries were later determined to be the result of abusive head trauma.
In March 2011, Kozisek pleaded not guilty in York County Court.
