The York man who shot at a York County Sheriff's deputy last August will spend 2-4 years in jail.

Twenty-six-year-old Max McCall was sentenced in York County District Court. He had pleaded no contest to three charges, including attempted first-degree assault on an officer. Prosecutors dropped other charges in exchange for McCall's pleas.

The incident occurred Aug. 11, after the deputy responded to a call about McCall threatening a relative.

Prosecutors say McCall was shot after he fired at the deputy.
